The late Mohammed Bakhit Al Ketbi United Arab Emirates

The late Mohammad Bakhit Al Ketbi joined the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces at the age of 16 and progressed through the military ranks until his retirement 35 years later. Widely recognised as one of the UAE’s most loyal military men, Al Ketbi was considered a pioneer in his field.

During his distinguished service in the UAE Armed Forces, Al Ketbi carried out his national duty with dedication, earning him various medals of recognition for his long-standing service.

Al Ketbi is one of the founders of the Special Operations Command . Through his role in the Armed Forces, Al Ketbi participated in several international peacekeeping missions, including in Lebanon, Somalia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kuwait and Afghanistan to name a few.

Al Ketbi was also known as a positive role model in the community. By convening ‘majlis’ lectures on preserving the UAE’s national identity and strengthening the sense of belonging to the nation, he motivated young people and their families to cherish and practice their culture.

The late Mohammad bin Bakhit Al Ketbi passed away in 2020 at the age of 64.
