There is no one-size-fits-all approach to a nomination. You should write what feels authentic to you.
However, here are a few tips for ensuring that your nomination is as clear and compelling as possible.
At a minimum, try to make sure that your nomination covers the what, the when, the how and the why:
What?
What did the person do? Briefly and clearly describe your nominee’s selfless deeds. It doesn’t matter how big or small the act is, as long as it has positively impacted the UAE community.
When?
When have they made their contribution? Good deeds can be performed over a lifetime, over several years, or even in a one-off act of selflessness or dedication to others. All of the above are valid! The length of the contribution is not the most important factor, but try to include that information in your nomination.
How?
How did the nominee’s contribution benefit the UAE? The Abu Dhabi Awards celebrates people that have made a meaningful difference, whether they helped one person or many, protected the environment, promoted cultural values, raised awareness on important issues, or contributed to our community in innovative ways – the list really is endless!
Why?
