H.E. Dr. Anwar Mohammad Gargash
HE Dr. Anwar Mohammed Gargash the Diplomatic advisor to the UAE President and former UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
. He was educated at George Washington University in the United States where he received a BSc of Political Sciences in 1981 and MSc in 1984. Dr. Gargash earned a PhD from Kings College, Cambridge, UK in 1990.
Since 2006, HE Dr. Gargash has played a critical role in fostering the country’s parliamentary structure based on President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s vision of developing the UAE’s participatory political system. In addition, HE contributed to the knowledge enrichment of parliamentary work for the citizens of the United Arab Emirates during his time at the Federal National Council, as well as ensuring the increase of women’s participation in the political sector.
Dr. Gargash looks at the education of future generations as a personal commitment. As such, he continues to play a pivotal role in advancing educational opportunities for young Emirati leaders, contributing to the establishment of the Emirates Academy of Diplomacy for knowledge exchange, nurturing youth and preparing them for future leadership roles.
