Abu Dhabi Awards Ceremony to be Broadcast on Monday, 15th February

The Organising Committee of the Abu Dhabi Awards today announced that the fifth Abu Dhabi Awards Ceremony will be broadcast on Abu Dhabi Al Oula on Monday, 15th February at 7 pm, one night following the live presentation ceremony at the Emirates Palace.
This year’s recipients will join the ever growing list of 37 Abu Dhabi Awards beneficiaries whose deeds have ranged from preserving our national heritage and providing basic medical services to the poor to promoting women’s rights and building environmental awareness.
Held under the Patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, this year’s Abu Dhabi Awards campaign garnered the wholehearted support of the citizens and residents of Abu Dhabi with an unprecedented 16,000 different people recommended via the 31,000 nomination forms received.
In total, over the past five years, people have proven their spirit of generosity for the community by registering an overwhelming 167,000 nominations.
The Abu Dhabi Awards are bestowed upon citizens and residents of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi who have contributed in building a greater sense of community and social welfare within the Emirate.
At this year’s ceremony, recipients will be joined by government officials and community leaders from across the Emirate in an evening that celebrates Abu Dhabi’s community spirit and goodwill. His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will preside over the ceremony and personally award the recipients for their good deeds.
Following the broadcast on Monday, February 15th, the ceremony will air again on:
- Tuesday 16th Feb at 9 pm on Abu Dhabi Al Emarat
- Wednesday 17th Feb at 3 pm on Abu Dhabi Al Emarat
- Friday 19th Feb at 1:30 pm on Abu Dhabi Al Oula
