Following record nominations of more than 9,500 individual citizens for this year’s Abu Dhabi Awards, the 2007 Award recipients are set to be honoured by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, at a gala ceremony next week.
The ceremony will take place on Thursday, December 13 at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, where His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will personally present each winner with the award. Members of the Royal family, VIP guests and family members of the Award recipients will also be in attendance at the prestigious event.
The Awards night will celebrate the overwhelming response received from the citizens of the Emirate who recognized the importance of taking the time to honor people who have gone the extra mile in their own lives to make someone else’s better.
All nominations for the 2007 Abu Dhabi Awards were assessed individually by a nomination panel of senior government officials, whose work was then reviewed by a judging committee selected by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Members of the public will also be able to enjoy the Abu Dhabi Awards Ceremony thanks to the support of Abu Dhabi Media Company who will broadcast the event on the 14th December on Abu Dhabi TV at 20.00 and on Emirates TV at 22.00.
